Methusael “Man of God.”

Methusael is the father of Lamech. Let us not confuse ourselves with Lamech, son of Methusael from Cain’s lineage and Lamech, son Methuselah from Seth‘s lineage. They are different individuals. There are no ages or lengths of life given for Cain or any of his descendants. Those named are placed on the Biblical Timeline chart in order between 4004 BC, which is Adam‘s creation, and the Great Flood (2350 BC).

  1. Hi,
I am in doubt that should we use name of cain and his sons names for any Christians, request you to help me to understand. Also can we use the name METHUSAEL for my self (I am a Christian, pkanning to change my name legally ) I request you to help me.

    Regards,
    Mutyalarao

    1. The name of Cain’s son was Enoch, the same name as the first man God translated. If you want to use any name from the bible, or any name in general, you should make sure that you know it’s meaning first, names have a particular influence over your life; consider those whose names God changed and their meanings before and after the change.

  2. I would not trust a man, ask God what he want’s for you’re life and go from there.
