Is Mohammed In The Bible By Name?

There are two places Muslims say the Bible refers to Mohammed by name.

The first is John 14:16, 26
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever
Here is the reasoning used by Muslims based on the translation from Greek
The word “comforter” is translated from the word “Paraclete” (“Ho Parakletos” in Greek). Muslims say the Greek Periqlytos that means Ahmad or Mohammed. These are Greek words. Muslims claim that ‘paraclete’ (which is in the Bible) should be a different word ‘Pericletos.’
Parakletos in Greek is interpreted as “an advocate”, one who pleads the cause of another, one who councils or advises another from deep concern for the other’s welfare (Beacon Bible Commentary volume VII, p.168).

Common calligraphic representation of
Muhammad’s name

Muslims say the English translation that refers to this comforter as The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is incorrect. The correct interpretation is a holy spirit or, in other words, a man with a holy spirit. (SP)

Additional verses about the comforter make it clear this is not referring to a man.

The Comforter cannot be seen by the world “The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him” John 14:17
The Comforter “abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:17 Mohammed does not abide in people.
The Comforter is sent by the Father in Jesus’ name, “whom the Father will send in my name”. (John 14:26) Mohammed never claimed to be sent in Jesus name.
The Comforter ” will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” referring to the disciples
(John 14:26). Muhammad did not help the disciples remember what Jesus taught them.
The Comforter will “be with you forever” (John 14:16).
As you can see, the Comforter cannot be Muhammad.

Again Muslims say Solomon refers to Muhammed. The word used is the Hebrew ‘Machmaddim’. Muslims claim that this word is a reference to Muhammad for two reasons, The word Machmad (singular of Machmaddim) sounds a bit like the name Mohammed and it means ‘one who is worthy of praise’ so Muslims say this is Mohammed. The context of the passage identifies the person described as Machmad as someone in the time of Solomon (Song 3:11) who is loved by a Shulamite (Song 6:13). He is red-haired (Song 5:10). None of these descriptions fits Muhammad.

Muslims also claim prophecies are referring to Christ such as this one in Deuteronomy 18:15 of the King James Bible are referring to Mohammed.
The LORD, thy God, will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Muslims claim this is referring to Mohammed as Mohammed was raised up as a prophet and spoke the words given by God. However, Mohammed was not from among the Israelites and, therefore, cannot be the prophet spoken of here or in other verses.
From Matthew Henry’s commentary we read this verse is..”intended as a promise of Christ, and it is the clearest promise of him that is in all the law of Moses. It is expressly applied to our Lord Jesus as the Messiah promised (Acts 3:22; 7:37), and the people had an eye to this promise when they said concerning him, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world (Jn. 6:14); and it was his Spirit that spoke in all the other prophets, 1 Pt. 1:11.”

If you search the Internet, you will find many Muslims suggesting why the Bible is referring to Mohammed and even more Christian sites refuting this.

Throughout Bible history no scholar ever suggested these prophecies refer to a son of Ishmael.

  1. great document

    1. Thank you for the kind words. Please share with your friends if you find it useful.

      1. Mohamed has been mentioned in the bible in hebrew in the book of Solomon.

Watch Dr Zakir Naik videos on that.

Muslims believe and love Jesus as a prophet.

        1. Thought deny he is the Son of God.. They don’t believe in him. They do not accept he is the Lord. I don’t think God sends someone who do not accept Jesus as the Lord. It would be really counterproductive… as Jesus is God..

        2. If you believe and love Jesus you need to follow his commandments. Why don’t Muslims do? Scientists usually use “time” as the answer to all their problems. For example, with time evolution occur, with time the big ban happen, etc, but we both know it’s false. On the other hand Muslims as use “corruption” as their excuse for the Bible like scientist use time for everything. When Jesus said one man to one woman is that a corruption? When Jesus said love your enemies is that a corruption? When Jesus said love your wife as Christ loved the church is that a corruption? On the contrary what did Mohammed teach? 4 wives? Fight against your enemies (Christians and Jews)? Quran 9:29-30 Beat/strike your wife in bed? Quran 4:34. If dont have objectivity we are lost.

          1. The Truth is in Christ i.e. the word of God . . . If you love God . . . God will reveal Himself to you. If you have the evidence you are a happy man and Christ be with you.

        3. The claim by Zakir Naik is false. Do your own research. The Hebrew word does not mean Mohammed and it does not even fit the description in that passage of the Bible. Read with the context, a few verses before and after. But wait wait; dont Muslims claim the Bible is corrupt? *Objectivity*

          1. Hi Hakki, thanks for that. But please be objective with those same scriptures and you will see no where mention anything about Mohammed or hin Ted anything about him. Those scriptures are referring to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Read them in their “context”. For example, the scripture that speaks about raising up a prophet from among you that will be like Moses is Jesus. Moses healed, did great miracles, created the first covenant, free the children of Israel, etc. Did Mohamed did ant such like? Jesus was the one from the tribe ofJudah and not Mohammed. He healed the sick, brought dead to life, free us from the first covenant, offered salvation, etc. The scriptures that speak about sending the comforter in John, you have to read on, you will see the comforter is a “Spirit” and he will bring the “apostles” the things to write about Jesus. Did Mohammed bring the apostles to remembrance or was he a spirit? Mohammed did what moses didnt do, he had sexual activity with a 7 year old girl and Moses or Jesus never did that. He was not even born until AD 500-600 so he cannot be the comforter to teach the apostles. Be Objective my friend. *objectivity* please read the rest the post on this site.

        4. We don’t love him alone has a prophet only but our Lord and Saviour.

        5. Thank God that mohammad is nowhere in the bible it’s all fabrication allah does not exist and mohammad was a false prophet defiantly

    2. The verse is referring to a prophet and to you Jesus is not a prophet.

      1. Jesus is a Prophet…and He is also a priest and a King. And Messiah!

    3. I dont see,Muhammad, any where in the bible. I see where it says Muslims suggesting GOD meaning Muhammad. If GOD was meaning Muhammad? He would state that his name is Muhammad. Muslims, Muhammad & the Quran book is nothing but a “FALSE PROPHET”. There (1) GOD. There’s (1) bible. There’s (1) denomination. You either believe in him & follow his laws. Or you will burn in the lake of fire for eternity. It’s your decision.

  2. There is but one true God. The Bible is very clear on things concerning God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spiriit of God. I am a saved sinner. Saved by grace through faith and I know beyond a doubt that my home will be Heaven. I pray that everyone could be saved and none shall perish. God can save these people who believe not if they just call on His name with a broken heart and contrite spirit. He wants to save lost souls. I pray for those who have been deceived and i shamefully admit, there are many. May God bless you.

  3. Jesus Said, I Will Sent You Another Helper To Be With You Forever, And My Dear Muslims Said It Is Their Prophet. Then If That Is The Case Only God Has The Right To Sent Prophets, Then Jesus Is The Same As God, Then It Means That Jesus Is God. Another Point: Quran Says Jesus Is Coming Back, He Is Going To Do The Final Judgement, Why Did’nt You People In Him? Please My Dear Muslims, Think And Think Well. Only Jesus Is The Way To God. Also All Prophets In The Bible Do Miracle But Your Prophet Did’nt Do Any Miracle (Sura 29:50). If It Is True That Mohammed Perform Such A Thing Then The Your Quran Must Be Burnt Or Throw Into The Gutter.

    1. Sadly you are deeply wrong.

When you said the father, son and the holy spirit are one.

Big time lie a deception said by the church.

The fact GOD IS ABOVE ALL CREATED THINGS.
      GOD CREATED ALL THINGS.

      GOD CREATED HUMAN
THEY ARE NOT HIS SON AND DAUGHTER. GOD CREATED FACT.

      THE SPIRIT IS NOT MAN
THE SPIRIT IS A SPECIAL CREATED ANGEL. GOD CREATED FACT.

      THE TRUTH IS CLEAR.
      GOD IS GOD

      HUMAN IS HUMAN

      THE SPIRIT IS AN ANGEL

THE THREE ARE NOT THE SAME.

THE ONE GOD IS ABOVE THIS DECEPTION BY THE CHURCH AND SHATAAN.

TODAY HUMAN TALK THIS BUT THIS IS WHAT THE CHURCH SAID.

      1. My brother we never argue with that, but do you believe once a couple get married they have become one..but the husband will still remain the king of the house..take note my brother

      2. Hi Jais,

A few questions to consider: can God make a human into a spiritual being? Can turn a spiritual being into a human? What is the limit of God’s power?

I’m sure we are on the same page when I say God’s power is limitless. God can do whatever he wants without limit.

We the church do not say that the father son and holy spirit are one, the Gospel which the Quran speaks about, says so. Just to name a few, read Luke 1:35, John 10:30 and Isiah 9:6.

Indeed God is above deception so that is why it was really Christ that died on the cross and not that God deceived anyone by putting someone like Christ on the cross. God is not a deceiver. It was really Christ that died on the cross not just based on the gospel which the Quran speaks about but also history.

        Please be objective.

Hope this created some for interest.

      3. Leave aside your disrespectful throwing away the ‘Quran’ which utterly disrespectful n listen carefully, Jesus never said he himself will send another Helper, but said that God wills do so. He also said before the crowd of Israelite that.. u not understand if I tell u now because this is not the time for u people to understand

        1. The difference between The Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ is that Jesus did not kill or murder, prevent freedom of spirit, prevent free will, rob caravans, steal other peoples religions, make stuff up, force religious conversions, fight in wars, allow rapes and beatings to happen, Jesus did not say it was o.k for men to marry as many women as they wanted to and Jesus did not say that in heaven you will get layed by 77 virgins etc

      4. Brother Jais, thanks for providing a very clear view on ‘God’. A true Christian should b free from the falsehood of Trinity. God is God, Human is Human and the Spirit is an Angel, and these three can never b same. Why on earth this has been misinterpreted as faith for over 2000 years, is beyond my imagination. Rightly u said this deceptive act is jointly done by Shataan and Church. Also can add the ancient kings, nights and their apostles vastly responsible for this misconception …Regards.

        1. Jais hasn’t prove anything…. which is very disurbing to say that Jais prove something. What else are your claims now? Jesus went on to further describe the helper the comforter, that is, he is a “spirit” (John 14:26), he will abide with the “apostles forever” (John 14:16) and he dwell with the apostles after Jesus left (John 14:17-18), so which one of those fits in with Mohammed? Maybe he came as a spirit? Maybe he was with the apostles ? Maybe he dwelt with the apostles forever.? Leme guess, the Bible is corrupt? Including things like one man to one wife, loving your enemies, and not to beat the wife in bed. God bless your.

      5. The spirit that lives in your define you, your type of person, character, behavior or attitude. The spirit that lives in God is truthful which otherwise mean Holiness. The same blood that runs through the Father will be the same as the Son. The Father is truthful and so the Son. If a bastard has the same blood as the Father and has His Son, He his part of the Family. They are One. Because they all are truthful. The Father,The Son and The Holy Spirit certainly is One! John 17:11 will explain this better.

      6. Farther, Son,Holy Ghost,Spirit.
The Trinity = (1). Jesus is God in the flesh.

    2. Hello my dear. First, there is no god but one God, and the rest are His servants, both Muhammad and Jesus and all the prophets. Look at the history of the prophets, before Jesus, all the prophets invited the people to worship the only God, so what does God need to choose a son or partner for himself? And it is written in the Qur’an that God asked Jesus: “And when the Lord says to Jesus, son of Mary,” Did you say to people that you and I will choose my mother and two as gods other than God? “He says:” Your glory ! I do not have the right to say what I do not deserve! If I said such a word, you know! You are aware of what is in my soul; and I do not know what is in your nature. Be sure to know all the secrets.
Second, we also have a Savior in the Apocalypse. The twelfth grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the Prophet Jesus pray behind this magnanimous.
But I do not want to drop the mercy of Jesus’ prophet, he is also our noble prophet.
Third, the Prophet Muhammad has the greatest miracles, including half the moon and returns it again But of all the great miracles of the Holy Qur’an, which was not the most enmity of its enemies, they could not distort one word, but, unfortunately, the Bible and the Torah have been distorted, for some time before, some of the elders of the religion of Christianity and the religion of the Jews Distorted these sacred books. Dear

      1. nope even your precious religion is not safe, men lie, men distort history for power.. dont rely on books god gave us a conscience to know right from wrong..
“you should search for (the fragmentary scripts of) the Qur’an and collect it in one book.” He began the project of “collecting it from (what was written on) palmed stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, till I found the last Verse of Surat At-Tauba (Repentance) with Abi Khuzaima Al-Ansari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him.”16

From this work, one official copy of the Quran was produced and remained with Abu Bakr until he died. The very next Hadith in the collection (Volume 6, Book 61, Number 510) explains that by the time of the third Caliph, Uthman, Muslims were reciting the Quran differently from one another so significantly that it threatened to tear the Muslim community apart. Uthman sent for the full copy of the Quran that Abu Bakr had made, and also sent for all the written fragments of Quranic material throughout the land and commissioned a yet another project of collecting the Quran. He ordered the production of a new authoritative edition of the Quran, a copy of which was sent to each province. All the other Quranic material was burned. The hadith ends by noting that a verse had been left out of Abu Bakr’s edition that was found and added to Uthman’s collection. Once again, this verse was found only with Khuzaima bin Al-Ansari, the same person who had remembered a verse no one else knew the first time the Quran was collected. This official account of the Quran’s collection tells us a lot of interesting information, not the least of which is the fact that at least one verse was added to the official written edition of the Quran between the first and second collections. It also tells us that any early version that might have disagreed with this official edition was destroyed.

The second Caliph, Umar, is said to have remembered a Quranic verse about stoning adulterers that was once recited by Muslims but was no longer in the Quran. In Sahih Muslim, Book 017, Number 4194, Umar is quoted as saying:

“Verily Allah sent Muhammad (may peace be upon him) with truth and He sent down the Book upon him, and the verse of stoning was included in what was sent down to him. We recited it, retained it in our memory and understood it.”

Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 8, Book 82, Number 816 reports Umar lamenting the absence of the verse in the written Quran:

“I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, ‘We do not find the Verses of the Rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book,’ and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed.”

A 9th century Christian named Al-Kindi also reports this story, saying that:

“Umar speaking from the pulpit said: ‘Let no man say that the verse about stoning is not in the sacred book, for I have myself read it. The man and woman who have committed adultery, stone them both. And if it were not that men would say that ’Umar had added to the Qur’an what was not in it, I would restore it with my own hands!’ In another address he said: ‘I do not know how anyone can say that the ordinance of al-Mut’a is not in God’s word; we have ourselves read it there, but it dropped out. God will not reward with blessing him who has omitted it. It was committed to him as a charge, but he was not faithful to the trust nor loyal to God and His Prophet.'”17

Muhammad’s youngest wife, A’isha, is also said to have reported:

“The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it,” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Volume 3, Book 9, Number 1944).
ancient a dog ate my homework ?

  4. Anyone who said Jesus is not a son of God is an antichrist

    1. antichrist is diffrent..it.s another man, we called him” dajjal ” – powerfull man that he can control everything, including weather , water , wind, food, magic etc. no one can touch him neither kill him, except jesus the greatest

      1. 1 John 2:18-22 has that answer about the antichrist

  5. If Jesus was God why was he crying saying God why have you foresaken me,which God was he talking about if he was God himself?

  6. Bingo! That’s the beauty of the only way to get heaven. A question that brings out alot. Thanks for that one.

Christ was always there from the beginning with God to create everything. In Genesis 1:26 which is apart of the Torah it is stated “let us make man” who is the us? John chapter 1 clearly shows it’s Jesus not Mohammed. Also, the same John states that Jesus came in “flesh”. The flesh feels the pains of the body. Christ came in the flesh. He was feeling the pain for us, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, everyone, so he cried those words in the flesh because the death of the cross is a bit painful I would think. The pain was real, not fake. He took on flesh. I know it’s hard to understand that because someone would think that God will not step down from his throne to be among his people or to feel pain when he has powers. But he did… he really loved us. We needed a sacrifice. CHRIST. Do you think God can create another planet? Do you think God can create a huge Dinosaur? Do you think God can make a human appear out of nowhere? Puff and he/she is there? We cannot limit the power of God my friends. Do you think God can allow his son to be transferred into the egg of Mary? Maybe that is beyond God’s power….?

Speaking about Christ power, did Mohammed ever do any healing or brought the dead back to life?
Jesus did those through his fathers power while he was in “flesh” without his former glory. Quran 3:49 and 5:113.

Back to the point, do you know that God the Father has emotions, he gets angry, jealous, upset? Is it wrong for Christ to have those in the “flesh” while he was not with his former glory back in heaven? Are you asking Christ to be higher that God the Father? (The reason why we feel angry jealous etc is because we are created in the image and the likeness of God Genesis 1:26)

For someone to find the truth it requires objectivity. If we are leaned on our parents understanding or traditional understand or someone else’s, we may loose heaven. Quite rightly Jesus said “if you love mother or father more than me your are not worth of me”. Don’t let someone elses understanding be ours, inspect the facts, be objective.

Please forgive any grammatical error or potential offense. I did not intend indend for any of that to happen. I pray that we and the rest of the world are brought closer to God in every way and we keep an objective mind.

    Great to be alive!

    Servant of God,
    Ricky

    1. Jesus was fearless, yet He did cry out, beginning in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was facing spiritual death on that cross…the physical death painful, certainly. But He had been with His Father from all eternity and now they had to be temporarily separated if Jesus’ mission was to be successful, because the last Garden scene was when Adam separated himself from God. God had to separate himself from the Second Adam – oh death, where is thy sting?? Because He arose a Victor and thus, the perfect Lamb of God Isaiah 53 (and the last part of Isaiah 52 talks about) prophesied happened and will happen when Israel accepts Him as Messiah in the 2nd half of the Great Tribulation.

      1. Yes. Certainly Isaiah 53 is a prophecy about Christ and they are so many more about Christ from different prophets. Moses, David, Psalms- Solomon, John the Baptist. That’s why the three wise men knew of Jesus virgin birth.

  7. mohammed waged war against the jewish and Christian people who raised him, trained him, and taught him all he knew about God and Religion. When the people of Mecca rejected Mohammed’s revelations, and refused to acknowledge his writings as prophetic, he raised an army to destroy the city. with such origins, I don’t see any purpose in trying to combine opposing faiths. Most Muslims are entirely ignorant of the Bible because “the Bible and Torah have been corrupted” the are not worth studying. Mohammed’s ignorance/rejection of canonized writings are apparent throughout his writings, and cannot be reconciled with the teachings of Torah and the Bible.

    1. That it true that it might not be worth studying the Quran. We will still get to heaven in any case once we live the life we should. But out of love for our fellow Muslims we read the Quran to show them the great weaknesses in the Quran, the way women are treated, the amount of wives men are allowed, the 9 wives Mohammed had which is against the Quran itself, Mohammed having sex with a nine year old girl, its ok for the men to take the slave girls as wives, the requirements to fight against the enemies for not believing in Quran, the facing to the east for prayers which is earthly since the earth rotates and so much more. Whew. Do you see how greater is the Bible above the Quran? Because it’s God’s word. One wife, love your enemies, live peaceably with all, Jesus never had 9 year old wife, etc. If someone force themself to believe in the Quran then they will not see the truth. It requires objectivity. Inspect both the Quran and Bible and see the difference.

  8. If a Muslim is objective he/she will see the truth about the Bible. Everything is truth. The claim of corruption in the Bible was never proven and to rest faith in that shows blindness. You can accept a piece of the Bible and reject another piece then the piece you accept you still have to claim it’s corrupt. We just have to pray for Muslims and everyone else to be objective about God’s word. The Bible. As you rightly said the scripture goes on with description of the Comforter, the Spirit. Mohammed clearly does not fit those descriptions. I pray that Muslims open their eyes for the sake of heaven. Two quick points. The Quran states that men are to forsake their wives if she does not listen Quran 4:34 and to fight the unbeliever Quran 9:5 but the Bible states that men are to love their wives as he loved the church and give his life for it. Ephesians 5:25. And to love your enemies. Matthew 5:44. Which one is the the higher law? Which one seems Godly? Which one is corrupt?

    Objectivity is important.

  9. If you say Mohammed is not the comforter, then who was Isaiah 29:12 referring to

    1. Hi Mukaila, thanks for the interest. All I ask for is objectivity at first. Just like John 14 with the holy spirit: it has to be interpreted in its context and not try to push someone else’s identity into that because even if you do you gave to accept everything else about Jesus from John about him being the son of God and God and also the comforter is the Holy Spirit.

      *objectivity*
The passage in Isaiah 29:12 is written against the ones that cannot read the book because it is sealed and one is unlearned. Continue reading unto the rest of verses and even the verses before to get the context. God was angry with the people not being able to read his precepts and knowing it. He said that use lips to honor him but their hearts are far from him. Theu did not spend the time to learn his precepts so they are “unlearned”. Hence, the reason for the new covenant that was prophesied which also correlates with Jeremiah 31:33. The people’s lips were close to God but heart was far.

If you would like to read a prophecy read Isiah 53, the entire chapter and not just one verse.

The thing is, you can find so many words in the Bible and those words might match a word in another book but that dosent mean because a word matches a word it proves something, please be objective and take the context of the scriptures. Take the context of Isiah chapter 53 and see the difference compared to Isiah 29:12.

      Hope this helps,
Let me know if I can clarify anything.
      Thanks.

  10. Very nice all, I read the whole thing and It helped me to understand the differences.
However, in my lifetime, I have learned God is God and no one has the right to go against God. If you have any question you can always talk to God.

Ask God any question in Jesus Christ’s name and he will answer it.

If he does not answer it, then he is fake. The key to this statement is (in Jesus Christ’s name)

  11. Jesus is no god he is a prophet

  12. Hi Ayesha, what is your proof? There are more proofs for him being God than anything. He healed the deaf, blind, dumb, resurrected the dead, created us, (even the quran confirm these things) he was prophesied by Moses, Daniel, Elijah, Isaiah; etc. But NO prophesy of Mohammed.

I can provide proof that Mohammed had sexual activity with a girl 7-9 years old, a child. Way before she had her first menstruation. Really a sad situation for a child. Did Jesus do anything like that?

  13. If Jesus is God then sorry to say God lied to Mosis for telling him no man can see his face because His shines like the sun.

    1. Hi Yakubu, Thank you for that point. No “man” can see the face of God. So if Jesus saw him… then what was Jesus? 🙂

  14. Hi Ricky,
If Jesus is God then everyone around him for twentysomething years must have been gods too because they could see him. Are you saying Judas was also a god … or are there harmful and beneficial gods?- this falls into the teachings of the hindu and roman culture if I am not mistaken.
Monotheism means belief in one entity as the beloved prophet Abraham declared. You cannot declare Uzaire son of god because he learnt he Torah by heart. You cannot combine three entities and call them one. The words and teachings of Jesus were construed to fit in with the Roman Empire’s belief at that time.

  15. I love James’s point about only asking for anything and everything from the one true God. How can the god who created me be the false god. Therefore it’s a brilliant idea to ask from ‘the Lord who created me’ . For me it was a lightbulb moment because nobody can deny it and I don’t need to try to clarify and be mistaken.

  16. Hi Salam, thanks for the points you have made. I really love the book of James. It is a practical book for a Christian life. To address your points; again I ask for an objective mind like in my other points on this site.

    1. James 1:1 states “James a servant of God and our Lord Jesus Christ…” question? How can James be a servant to both God the Father and Jesus at the SAME time? The reason why is because God the Father and Jesus are ONE which Jesus stated already. Serving Jesus was also serving God and serving God is also serving Jesus.

Secondly, I extremely love your point about “the Lord who created me”. Who is the Lord according to James 1:1? I will leave that for you to answer.

    2. James 1:27 states “pure religoin before God the Father is this….” why why did James specify which God, that is God “the Father”? This is the lightbulb moment for everyone. It simply implies that there is some other “God”. Only an objective mind would admit that it implies that there is also another God. They are God the Spirit and God the Son.

    3. In the Torah, Genesis 1:26 it states “let us make man” who is the “us”? *lighbulb*. Read John 1:1 which explains that nothing was made without Jesus. Jesus, God the Son, was from the beginning and created everything with God the Father.

    4. Not because the apostles and other saw Jesus, he was not God. Jesus came in literal “flesh” through a virgin birth. Jesus bled, got angry, face emotional pain, an was even hungry for normal food. He was “flesh”. It was a purpose that he came as human, so that real death could occur, real blood could be shed for our forgiveness. Read the book of John chapter 1 which explains that Jesus was in the beginning but took on “flesh”. At that point when he was on earth he gave up his majesty and everything else he had before with “God the Father” to be offered as the sacrifice for makind so that forgiveness will finally be obtained. He gave up everything. In other words he was simply human. He was not in spiritual form but flesh.

    5. How can three be one? Jesus states that when a man and a woman marry they become one. Matthew 19:5. If a man and a woman becomes one do you think spirit, son and father can be one? Or is it too impossible or they do not have the power? Are you saying the God has limited powers or you do not believe in the powers of God? Lack of faith? To believe in God and his words requires faith.

    6. Didn’t the quran confirmed that Jesus resurrected the dead? Even created life? Healed? Did miracles? Unless those verses were skipped. Did Mohammed ever created life? Or raised the dead? Or heal all forms of diseases?

Please note, I stuck with the book of James only and we have many many more books and scriptures to look at when it comes to Jesus being God also including the Gospels which the Quran speaks about.

    Besides your questions now,

    Points to consider for Mohammed:
Have you ever studied what Mohammed did compared to Jesus? Amount of wives, sexual activity with a child without menustration as yet (age 7)- how would you like to offer your 7 year old  daughter as wife to a 50 year old man who has wives already- I know you wouldn’t, the company  commandment to have sex with the slave women who had husbands Qura 4:24, the commandment to fight against the Christians and Jews Quran 9:29, rage of war,  he even said to forsake your wife (some versions of the Quran clearly states to beat her) in bed Quran 4:34, etc.

    Points to consider for Jesus:
He never got married, never had sexual activity with a 7 year old, when Peter was about to fight for Jesus he said to Peter ” if you live by the sword you die by the sword” and said to love your enemies. He said to pray for our enemies and turn the other cheek when they hit one cheek, he commanded that there be ONE man to ONE woman not multiple, he cammanded men to love their wives as He love the church and give his life for it. He never ask us to forsake our wife in bed.

Thanks again Salam and this is not to disrespect you or anyone but facts. If you are really objective you will consider the points that I share with James and Mohammed probably take a further research to compare Jesus and Mohammed life which be the starting to see Jesus as God.

  17. So d three persons(the father, son, holy spirit)are equal right!…den hw come is it dat jesus doesnt knw d last hour?…question 2:why do christians not pray to d holy spirit instead of God since they are equal and use jesus 2 pray to God and not pray 2 jesus instead??

    1. Hi Abdullahi, a couple things first:
      1. What is the definition of God?
      2. Does Jesus posses any of the qualities?

      1. Definition of God- simply put, a spiritual being with supernatural powers, working miracles such as bringing dead to life and healing all diseases, the creator of the Universe. If you are to use the word God then one must accept that Jesus is God. The Quran gives account of these evidences to Jesus. What more than that does someone need? They only way for someone to not accept this is if they were trained otherwise for years so it’s hard to change that culture.

Jesus posess all these qualities so why is it so difficult to accept Jesus as God.

Jesus did not know the hour of his return.  Please read my other points on this site.
      – Jesus was in flesh, came as a man through a virgin birth. Not as God but as a human servant. The reason for this is for us to finally have forgiveness of sin. A true sacrifice needed to be made. The blood of animals was never to forgive sins and will never take away sins. It was simply an appeasement to God to pass over that person until the true sacrifice is made and forgiveness finally obtained. It was a roll forward to the cross of Jesus.

      – Jesus is God the Son. Yewah, is God the Father as i explained in James already, that is why you will see God the Father in the bible alot which is simply to identify which of the God. Again, does Jesus posess the qualities of God? Even the Quran shows you so. Think about a father a son relationship: if you have a biological  son don’t you think he will have your DNA? Wouldn’t he have your nature? Your surname? If your surname is Abdool your son’s surname will be Abdool or atleast have your DNA. Our heavenly father is God and he has a son who is also God. They both have the same surname, designation, nature, authority because God the Father passed that authority to his Son. So as the biological father do you think you told your son everything? If Jesus didn’t know the hour it simply means that God the Father did not wish for him to know as yet. Even if Jesus had the powers to know he will not go against his father’s will. Would you like for your son to be disrespectful to your wish? When he was in the garden ready to be killed dont you think he could have called angels to help him? But he stuck to his fathers will to show his respect and obedience. This does not diminish anything about Jesus being God. Do you also know that all authorities came from God the Father to God the Son? Does this mean that Jesus is not God because his authority was given to him? Certainly not, why would the father give authority to the son? Simply because his very nature is of his father, God. Jesus was apart of creation, healed, brought dead to life, existed way before the earth, etc. Jesus, God the Son is of the very nature of God the Father. Similary, God shared his spirit for us to have as the Comforter, to guide us. What nature is the spirit? Of the devil or God?

Hopefully you get the answer for why we pray to God the Father: he is God the Father and Jesus is God the Son. God the Father desire it to be so, God the Son desire it to be so so why question what they wish to have from us humans? If the Father and God the Son wish for that to be changed they would have changed that. When we pray we have to pray through Christ, if not our prayers are in unanswered. Jesus stated that no come comes to the father except through me John 14:6. It’s not about praying through east or west which is earthly, the earth rotates, so there is no fixed east or west. It’s about praying through God the Son to God the Father.
