Is Mohammed In The Bible By Name?

There are two places Muslims say the Bible refers to Mohammed by name.

The first is John 14:16, 26
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever
Here is the reasoning used by Muslims based on the translation from Greek
The word “comforter” is translated from the word “Paraclete” (“Ho Parakletos” in Greek). Muslims say the Greek Periqlytos that means Ahmad or Mohammed. These are Greek words. Muslims claim that ‘paraclete’ (which is in the Bible) should be a different word ‘Pericletos.’
Parakletos in Greek is interpreted as “an advocate”, one who pleads the cause of another, one who councils or advises another from deep concern for the other’s welfare (Beacon Bible Commentary volume VII, p.168).

Common calligraphic representation of
Muhammad’s name

Muslims say the English translation that refers to this comforter as The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is incorrect. The correct interpretation is a holy spirit or, in other words, a man with a holy spirit. (SP)

Additional verses about the comforter make it clear this is not referring to a man.

The Comforter cannot be seen by the world “The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him” John 14:17
The Comforter “abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:17 Mohammed does not abide in people.
The Comforter is sent by the Father in Jesus’ name, “whom the Father will send in my name”. (John 14:26) Mohammed never claimed to be sent in Jesus name.
The Comforter ” will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” referring to the disciples
(John 14:26). Muhammad did not help the disciples remember what Jesus taught them.
The Comforter will “be with you forever” (John 14:16).
As you can see, the Comforter cannot be Muhammad.

Again Muslims say Solomon refers to Muhammed. The word used is the Hebrew ‘Machmaddim’. Muslims claim that this word is a reference to Muhammad for two reasons, The word Machmad (singular of Machmaddim) sounds a bit like the name Mohammed and it means ‘one who is worthy of praise’ so Muslims say this is Mohammed. The context of the passage identifies the person described as Machmad as someone in the time of Solomon (Song 3:11) who is loved by a Shulamite (Song 6:13). He is red-haired (Song 5:10). None of these descriptions fits Muhammad.

Muslims also claim prophecies are referring to Christ such as this one in Deuteronomy 18:15 of the King James Bible are referring to Mohammed.
The LORD, thy God, will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Muslims claim this is referring to Mohammed as Mohammed was raised up as a prophet and spoke the words given by God. However, Mohammed was not from among the Israelites and, therefore, cannot be the prophet spoken of here or in other verses.
From Matthew Henry’s commentary we read this verse is..”intended as a promise of Christ, and it is the clearest promise of him that is in all the law of Moses. It is expressly applied to our Lord Jesus as the Messiah promised (Acts 3:22; 7:37), and the people had an eye to this promise when they said concerning him, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world (Jn. 6:14); and it was his Spirit that spoke in all the other prophets, 1 Pt. 1:11.”

If you search the Internet, you will find many Muslims suggesting why the Bible is referring to Mohammed and even more Christian sites refuting this.

Throughout Bible history no scholar ever suggested these prophecies refer to a son of Ishmael.

  1. great document

    1. Thank you for the kind words. Please share with your friends if you find it useful.

      1. Mohamed has been mentioned in the bible in hebrew in the book of Solomon.

Watch Dr Zakir Naik videos on that.

Muslims believe and love Jesus as a prophet.

        1. Thought deny he is the Son of God.. They don’t believe in him. They do not accept he is the Lord. I don’t think God sends someone who do not accept Jesus as the Lord. It would be really counterproductive… as Jesus is God..

        2. If you believe and love Jesus you need to follow his commandments. Why don’t Muslims do? Scientists usually use “time” as the answer to all their problems. For example, with time evolution occur, with time the big ban happen, etc, but we both know it’s false. On the other hand Muslims as use “corruption” as their excuse for the Bible like scientist use time for everything. When Jesus said one man to one woman is that a corruption? When Jesus said love your enemies is that a corruption? When Jesus said love your wife as Christ loved the church is that a corruption? On the contrary what did Mohammed teach? 4 wives? Fight against your enemies (Christians and Jews)? Quran 9:29-30 Beat/strike your wife in bed? Quran 4:34. If dont have objectivity we are lost.

          1. The Truth is in Christ i.e. the word of God . . . If you love God . . . God will reveal Himself to you. If you have the evidence you are a happy man and Christ be with you.

          2. First thing dont you dare lie about my relegion the quran marry for but if you cannot be just with all 4 marry just one show where in the bible it says marry just one wife the bible never said marry one wife second prophet muhammad told us when u find out your wife is cheating first don’t talk to her if she keeps cheating don’t sleep with her if keeps doing it strike her but it cannot leave a mark and it cannot cause pain and that was a sign of divorce and in Christianity the woman doesn’t have the right to divorce her husband and aslo jesus said if a child curses his parents he should be put to death Matthew 15.3 15.4

          3. Hi Frenchie, Thanks for your comments. No one is lying about your religion, it is what it is… thank you for confirming that Mohammed commanded to beat your wife, in Christianity we we are commanded to do the opposite of beating our wives, that is, to love and die for our wives – Ephesians 5:25. Also, thank you for confirming that Islam allows a man to have multiple wives, in Christianity we are commanded to have one wife to one man, please read Matthew 19:1-6 and 1 Timothy 3:2, 12. You are misinterpreting the Bible in Matthew 15:3-4, Christ never commanded to kill children in Christianity, these were never Christ Laws, Jesus was quoting from the Old Testament, read Exodus 21:17 to confirm. The Old Testament was in effect until Christ death, we are under grace, the New Testament, Hebrews 8:13. Hopefully this helps you to understand Christianity a bit more. Thank you.

          4. Prophet Mohammed teached us the Justice between us and he just Completed the morals and didn’t deny the other prophets messages like Jesus and Moses he just completed what left to complete
and he told us we cannot have justice between our wives And if you would be careful

          5. Hi PowerX, so are you saying that you agree with Mohammed commanding for Muslim men to beat their wives, Quran 4:34? do you agree with Mohammed to have multiple wives also?

          6. This excuse my language is BS, how dare you, the Qur’an says nothing of the kind about beating 1s wife at any time, it says men and women must respect eachother equally, yes in the marriage vows a woman has different vows and duties than a man and vice versa, but it NEVER says to strike your wife, and commit violence upon others, it actually says the best in Islam is those from whos hands and tongue are safe from others. Alot of people read the Qur’an and are mistaken by certain wording, but it also says that when reading it, if you do not understand it, it is because of lack of faith and knowledge, and Allah SWT only wills those to understand the knowledge of Islam and Qur’an who he deems worthy to understand the knowledge and wisdom, in other words if you’re a believer in God and are good, kind, peaceful and God wants you to understand it truly and fully, then you will understand what is written and said. Please dont disrespect others religions, how would you feel if someone was to falsify and disrespect your beliefs without first understanding fully, the knowledge of your religion????!!!!!!! Its RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m a white British Muslim Woman and I know that what you said is absolutely untrue and insulting, its complete waffle and extremely cruel and utterly racist AND sexist, if you understood Islam NOT cultural teaching but actual religious teaching, you wouldn’t say these things, secondly, a true Muslim man or woman, and all races in Islam that have been taught correctly and thoroughly would know that violence is NOT PERMITTED !!!!!!

        3. The claim by Zakir Naik is false. Do your own research. The Hebrew word does not mean Mohammed and it does not even fit the description in that passage of the Bible. Read with the context, a few verses before and after. But wait wait; dont Muslims claim the Bible is corrupt? *Objectivity*

          1. Hi Hakki, thanks for that. But please be objective with those same scriptures and you will see no where mention anything about Mohammed or hin Ted anything about him. Those scriptures are referring to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Read them in their “context”. For example, the scripture that speaks about raising up a prophet from among you that will be like Moses is Jesus. Moses healed, did great miracles, created the first covenant, free the children of Israel, etc. Did Mohamed did ant such like? Jesus was the one from the tribe ofJudah and not Mohammed. He healed the sick, brought dead to life, free us from the first covenant, offered salvation, etc. The scriptures that speak about sending the comforter in John, you have to read on, you will see the comforter is a “Spirit” and he will bring the “apostles” the things to write about Jesus. Did Mohammed bring the apostles to remembrance or was he a spirit? Mohammed did what moses didnt do, he had sexual activity with a 7 year old girl and Moses or Jesus never did that. He was not even born until AD 500-600 so he cannot be the comforter to teach the apostles. Be Objective my friend. *objectivity* please read the rest the post on this site.

          2. The Bible and Hebrew is edited and Muhammed is removed from it You are lost

          3. Hi PowerX, do you have the the bible with Mohammed name in it? You will be the first and only Muslim to have such a bible. Do you know that someone can also state that the original Quran has Hanuman name in it but it was edited out? I can assure you that Mohammed name is no where in the Bible, but on the contrary we can find Jesus name in the Quran and in a superior state in the Quran than Mohammed, Jesus did miracles and the most by far, Jesus gave life, Jesus commanded a much more superior law of love, He never instructed to have multiple wives or to beat your wife. Jesus Loves You! Keep safe.

        4. We don’t love him alone has a prophet only but our Lord and Saviour.

        5. Thank God that mohammad is nowhere in the bible it’s all fabrication allah does not exist and mohammad was a false prophet defiantly

    2. The verse is referring to a prophet and to you Jesus is not a prophet.

      1. Jesus is a Prophet…and He is also a priest and a King. And Messiah!

    3. I dont see,Muhammad, any where in the bible. I see where it says Muslims suggesting GOD meaning Muhammad. If GOD was meaning Muhammad? He would state that his name is Muhammad. Muslims, Muhammad & the Quran book is nothing but a “FALSE PROPHET”. There (1) GOD. There’s (1) bible. There’s (1) denomination. You either believe in him & follow his laws. Or you will burn in the lake of fire for eternity. It’s your decision.

      1. I have a question
If I said that Jesus not talk about MOHAMED pbh what him talk about comfortor that will came after him ??what

        1. Hi Morris, as I mentioned in my earlier comment, you did not read the content of this page, this question is asked by your colleagues already. Please see below my previous email answering your question. Also, I have a question for you… did your read the gospel account that speaks of the Comforter to see if Mohammed fits the description? – Read John chapter 14 properly. Also, read this entire site.

“But please be objective with those same scriptures and you will see no where mention anything about Mohammed or hinted anything about him. Jesus was the one from the tribe of Judah and not Mohammed. 4. My dear writer, I want to remind you that Jesus never spoke GREEK. He spoke ARAMAIC. So, quote him with the language he spoke and not what has been translated into GREEK. You have been misled because the Original words from the lips of JESUS has been translated severally. The funny side of it is that, every translated Bible becomes ORIGINAL for future translations. Read Jeremiah 8:8 and Hebrew 8:7. I will encourage you to lay your hands on the ORIGINAL texts and not TRANSLATED text.

      1. Hello Basiru, thanks for the comments. Quoting someone in their original language is not required to get to heaven, it’s shows that there is no consideration for someone who is dumb or don’t even know another language, in other words they can’t get to heaven if they don’t know Greek. It’s takes years to understand the Greek or another language, what if someone die in the process? We have the Greek, Hebrew, etc Bible also and it was tested over the years to be a good representation of the English, Spanish, French, etc. In Spanish the word for love is AMOR and in English it is LOVE, can you tell me what is the difference, do they mean something contrary? It’s has be tested over the years also. Our God that we worship understands many languages. Does your God understand many languages or is he only knowledgeable about only one? The Bible has been translated to hundreds of languages to meet the most farthest parts of the earth since God wants his words to spread. Our God also reads silent lips so no language required. Jeremiah was a prophet that face a lot of other false prophets so that is the purpose of Jeremiah 8:8. Do you know what Jeremiah went through? They English Bible can help you understand that. Hebrews 8:7 supports the new covenant of Jesus, such as ONE man to ONE wife (that is is in English by the way but you can research it or see if Jesus said that in Greek/Hebrew to confirm), to love your wife as Christ love the church instead of beating her or forsaking her in bed, to put away animal sacrifices since they do not save anyone from hell- only the blood of Jesus forgives sin, to love your enemies rather than waring against them and much much more for the new covenant. Thanks for the points.

  2. There is but one true God. The Bible is very clear on things concerning God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spiriit of God. I am a saved sinner. Saved by grace through faith and I know beyond a doubt that my home will be Heaven. I pray that everyone could be saved and none shall perish. God can save these people who believe not if they just call on His name with a broken heart and contrite spirit. He wants to save lost souls. I pray for those who have been deceived and i shamefully admit, there are many. May God bless you.

  3. Jesus Said, I Will Sent You Another Helper To Be With You Forever, And My Dear Muslims Said It Is Their Prophet. Then If That Is The Case Only God Has The Right To Sent Prophets, Then Jesus Is The Same As God, Then It Means That Jesus Is God. Another Point: Quran Says Jesus Is Coming Back, He Is Going To Do The Final Judgement, Why Did’nt You People In Him? Please My Dear Muslims, Think And Think Well. Only Jesus Is The Way To God. Also All Prophets In The Bible Do Miracle But Your Prophet Did’nt Do Any Miracle (Sura 29:50). If It Is True That Mohammed Perform Such A Thing Then The Your Quran Must Be Burnt Or Throw Into The Gutter.

    1. Sadly you are deeply wrong.

When you said the father, son and the holy spirit are one.

Big time lie a deception said by the church.

      GOD IS GOD

      1. My brother we never argue with that, but do you believe once a couple get married they have become one..but the husband will still remain the king of the house..take note my brother

        1. Fir pati k mar Jane k baad dobara Saadi ko izazat kyu di to thik se knowledge badha apni

      2. Hi Jais,

A few questions to consider: can God make a human into a spiritual being? Can turn a spiritual being into a human? What is the limit of God’s power?

I’m sure we are on the same page when I say God’s power is limitless. God can do whatever he wants without limit.

We the church do not say that the father son and holy spirit are one, the Gospel which the Quran speaks about, says so. Just to name a few, read Luke 1:35, John 10:30 and Isiah 9:6.

Indeed God is above deception so that is why it was really Christ that died on the cross and not that God deceived anyone by putting someone like Christ on the cross. God is not a deceiver. It was really Christ that died on the cross not just based on the gospel which the Quran speaks about but also history.

        Please be objective.

Hope this created some for interest.

        1. Farther, Son,Holy Ghost,Spirit.
The Trinity = (1). Jesus is God in the flesh.

          1. 1st John 5:7 KJVBible

        2. Hi Rick
Is the big problem what chretien have don’t have the same believe
So look what ur brothers just said that all that 3 is one …
          Him is chretien like u
But we Muslim ours believe is what brother Jais said

          1. Hi Morris, Thanks for the comment but I don’t think you read these comments in its entirety. I support that Father, Son and Holy Spirit is ONE. I never doubt that. Please read other points on this site. You can not accuse Christians of having different belief when Muslims have alot of different beliefs in world. This kind of a statement is hypocrisy and also false since I never went against the belief of Father, Son and Spirit is ONE.

Now, rather than focusing on false claims, I implore you to focus on the other questions I have asked other Muslims on this page and they refuse to answer…. it’s is funny how we run from the truth and seek to create lies sometimes to defend out traditions.

            Thanks for you comment, Ricky

          1. Mthw 10: 32

      3. Leave aside your disrespectful throwing away the ‘Quran’ which utterly disrespectful n listen carefully, Jesus never said he himself will send another Helper, but said that God wills do so. He also said before the crowd of Israelite that.. u not understand if I tell u now because this is not the time for u people to understand

        1. The difference between The Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ is that Jesus did not kill or murder, prevent freedom of spirit, prevent free will, rob caravans, steal other peoples religions, make stuff up, force religious conversions, fight in wars, allow rapes and beatings to happen, Jesus did not say it was o.k for men to marry as many women as they wanted to and Jesus did not say that in heaven you will get layed by 77 virgins etc

          1. Kai lakho firon k logo ko yeshu k chele ne nhi mara usko kisne sikhaya ye sab ab bolo

      4. Brother Jais, thanks for providing a very clear view on ‘God’. A true Christian should b free from the falsehood of Trinity. God is God, Human is Human and the Spirit is an Angel, and these three can never b same. Why on earth this has been misinterpreted as faith for over 2000 years, is beyond my imagination. Rightly u said this deceptive act is jointly done by Shataan and Church. Also can add the ancient kings, nights and their apostles vastly responsible for this misconception …Regards.

        1. Jais hasn’t prove anything…. which is very disurbing to say that Jais prove something. What else are your claims now? Jesus went on to further describe the helper the comforter, that is, he is a “spirit” (John 14:26), he will abide with the “apostles forever” (John 14:16) and he dwell with the apostles after Jesus left (John 14:17-18), so which one of those fits in with Mohammed? Maybe he came as a spirit? Maybe he was with the apostles ? Maybe he dwelt with the apostles forever.? Leme guess, the Bible is corrupt? Including things like one man to one wife, loving your enemies, and not to beat the wife in bed. God bless your.

        2. Muhammad,

Your problem is you are trying to understand G-d from a human perspective. How do you know that G-d cannot take on the form of a human – did He tell you that? Of course not! Some human told you that. If God can create He can do anything! When you attempt to limit Him and what He can do you create blinders that prevent you from seeing Truth.

God has revealed to us some of what He can do and one thing He revealed He could do was as Jesus to take on the form of man so that He could save us and not violate His justice or righteousness.
But understanding comes by revelation from G-d not by man’s deduction.

“For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” 2 Cor 2:11-12.

      5. The spirit that lives in your define you, your type of person, character, behavior or attitude. The spirit that lives in God is truthful which otherwise mean Holiness. The same blood that runs through the Father will be the same as the Son. The Father is truthful and so the Son. If a bastard has the same blood as the Father and has His Son, He his part of the Family. They are One. Because they all are truthful. The Father,The Son and The Holy Spirit certainly is One! John 17:11 will explain this better.

      6. Farther, Son,Holy Ghost,Spirit.
The Trinity = (1). Jesus is God in the flesh.

        1. TERRY
          Never say 1+1+1 = 1
I’m very sure you are educated enough to know its wrong.
          JESUS IS NOT GOD.
          Read the following for yourself
          1. Mark 10:17-18 Jesus said we have only one good master and that is God.
          2. Mark 12:28-30 Jesus said God is one. He never claim devinity unto himself.
          3. John 5:30 Jesus said he can of him own self do nothing.
          4. John 14:28 Jesus said God is greater than him

I have more quotations to prove that Jesus never claimed to be GOD. Please, don’t be an ‘educated illiterate’
          * How can God be put to death on the Cross?
*How can God be circumcised? ( Luke 2:21)
          * How can God eat?
          * How can God Sleep? ( Luke 8:22-23)
          * How can God be carried by his mother?
          * Why should God be born by a woman?
          * Why should God cry? (John 11:35)
          * who can see God?
          IN CONCLUSION ;
          1. Anyone who calls Jesus God has not studied the Bible. That person is a clear IDOL WORSHIPPER.
          2. Anyone who believes in TRINITY does not know who Jesus really was.
          3. Anyone who believes Jesus was sacrificed to cleans his/her sins has a serious mental Problem. That person needs to read and study the Bible for a great HEALING.

          1. Hi Basiru, thanks again for your comments, it’s keep helping us to appreciate Christ more. Please answer the questions at the end.

You limit the math of God and his power. We worship a God that with him ALL things are possible. 1+1+1= 1 with God or whatever number he chooses. 1+1+1=3 is what you learnt in schools but our God is not limited by Math Or rules of man and can do the impossible.

You fail to understand that Jesus came down as a man and went through a normal life here (except having multiple wives or even a wife and sexual intercourse with a 7-9 year old girl). Read the book of Philippians chapter 2 to get a piece of the iceberg. Jesus took on the form of Man, thanks for those scriptures, it helps anyone to see the true pain and sacrifice of Jesus to wipe away our sins. His pain was real. His sacrifice was real. A bull will it save you from hell.

You don’t have to believe in the new convent even though it was prophesied, Ezekiel 11:19, Ezekiel 36:26, Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8;10, etc. You can force your mind to believe anything, you can even believe that the earth has turtles upholding it if you wish. Did you know that Jesus is prophesied by Moses, Daniel and much more prophets and not one prophesy of Muhammed?

We are not IDOL WORSHIPPERS because we do not meet YOUR limited understanding of God’s power, we go by God‘a law. We seek to please God and not you.

Not only JUDGEMENT is real BUT also HELL is real. Jesus will be the one to judge you. Salvation is found under no other name except JESUS Acts 4:10-12 written by Luke the Apostle in both the GREEK and English. HELL IS REAL.

So is it right to have intercourse with a 7-9 year old girl who did not even started having menstruation as yet? Is it right I beat your wife? Is it right to kill or take vengeance your enemies?

    2. Hello my dear. First, there is no god but one God, and the rest are His servants, both Muhammad and Jesus and all the prophets. Look at the history of the prophets, before Jesus, all the prophets invited the people to worship the only God, so what does God need to choose a son or partner for himself? And it is written in the Qur’an that God asked Jesus: “And when the Lord says to Jesus, son of Mary,” Did you say to people that you and I will choose my mother and two as gods other than God? “He says:” Your glory ! I do not have the right to say what I do not deserve! If I said such a word, you know! You are aware of what is in my soul; and I do not know what is in your nature. Be sure to know all the secrets.
Second, we also have a Savior in the Apocalypse. The twelfth grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the Prophet Jesus pray behind this magnanimous.
But I do not want to drop the mercy of Jesus’ prophet, he is also our noble prophet.
Third, the Prophet Muhammad has the greatest miracles, including half the moon and returns it again But of all the great miracles of the Holy Qur’an, which was not the most enmity of its enemies, they could not distort one word, but, unfortunately, the Bible and the Torah have been distorted, for some time before, some of the elders of the religion of Christianity and the religion of the Jews Distorted these sacred books. Dear

      1. nope even your precious religion is not safe, men lie, men distort history for power.. dont rely on books god gave us a conscience to know right from wrong..
“you should search for (the fragmentary scripts of) the Qur’an and collect it in one book.” He began the project of “collecting it from (what was written on) palmed stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, till I found the last Verse of Surat At-Tauba (Repentance) with Abi Khuzaima Al-Ansari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him.”16

From this work, one official copy of the Quran was produced and remained with Abu Bakr until he died. The very next Hadith in the collection (Volume 6, Book 61, Number 510) explains that by the time of the third Caliph, Uthman, Muslims were reciting the Quran differently from one another so significantly that it threatened to tear the Muslim community apart. Uthman sent for the full copy of the Quran that Abu Bakr had made, and also sent for all the written fragments of Quranic material throughout the land and commissioned a yet another project of collecting the Quran. He ordered the production of a new authoritative edition of the Quran, a copy of which was sent to each province. All the other Quranic material was burned. The hadith ends by noting that a verse had been left out of Abu Bakr’s edition that was found and added to Uthman’s collection. Once again, this verse was found only with Khuzaima bin Al-Ansari, the same person who had remembered a verse no one else knew the first time the Quran was collected. This official account of the Quran’s collection tells us a lot of interesting information, not the least of which is the fact that at least one verse was added to the official written edition of the Quran between the first and second collections. It also tells us that any early version that might have disagreed with this official edition was destroyed.

The second Caliph, Umar, is said to have remembered a Quranic verse about stoning adulterers that was once recited by Muslims but was no longer in the Quran. In Sahih Muslim, Book 017, Number 4194, Umar is quoted as saying:

“Verily Allah sent Muhammad (may peace be upon him) with truth and He sent down the Book upon him, and the verse of stoning was included in what was sent down to him. We recited it, retained it in our memory and understood it.”

Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 8, Book 82, Number 816 reports Umar lamenting the absence of the verse in the written Quran:

“I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, ‘We do not find the Verses of the Rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book,’ and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed.”

A 9th century Christian named Al-Kindi also reports this story, saying that:

“Umar speaking from the pulpit said: ‘Let no man say that the verse about stoning is not in the sacred book, for I have myself read it. The man and woman who have committed adultery, stone them both. And if it were not that men would say that ’Umar had added to the Qur’an what was not in it, I would restore it with my own hands!’ In another address he said: ‘I do not know how anyone can say that the ordinance of al-Mut’a is not in God’s word; we have ourselves read it there, but it dropped out. God will not reward with blessing him who has omitted it. It was committed to him as a charge, but he was not faithful to the trust nor loyal to God and His Prophet.'”17

Muhammad’s youngest wife, A’isha, is also said to have reported:

“The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it,” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Volume 3, Book 9, Number 1944).
ancient a dog ate my homework ?

  4. Anyone who said Jesus is not a son of God is an antichrist

    1. antichrist is another man, we called him” dajjal ” – powerfull man that he can control everything, including weather , water , wind, food, magic etc. no one can touch him neither kill him, except jesus the greatest

      1. 1 John 2:18-22 has that answer about the antichrist

    2. Anyone Who Claims Jesus Did Not Come In The Flesh Is The Spirit Of The “Anti-Christ”

  5. If Jesus was God why was he crying saying God why have you foresaken me,which God was he talking about if he was God himself?

    1. Hebrews 1
      King James Version
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

      2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

      11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

    2. Jesus Is Not Only The “Begotten Son” Of Yahweh? He Is Yahweh In The Flesh……. Allah Never “Begot” a Son…….

  6. Bingo! That’s the beauty of the only way to get heaven. A question that brings out alot. Thanks for that one.

Christ was always there from the beginning with God to create everything. In Genesis 1:26 which is apart of the Torah it is stated “let us make man” who is the us? John chapter 1 clearly shows it’s Jesus not Mohammed. Also, the same John states that Jesus came in “flesh”. The flesh feels the pains of the body. Christ came in the flesh. He was feeling the pain for us, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, everyone, so he cried those words in the flesh because the death of the cross is a bit painful I would think. The pain was real, not fake. He took on flesh. I know it’s hard to understand that because someone would think that God will not step down from his throne to be among his people or to feel pain when he has powers. But he did… he really loved us. We needed a sacrifice. CHRIST. Do you think God can create another planet? Do you think God can create a huge Dinosaur? Do you think God can make a human appear out of nowhere? Puff and he/she is there? We cannot limit the power of God my friends. Do you think God can allow his son to be transferred into the egg of Mary? Maybe that is beyond God’s power….?

Speaking about Christ power, did Mohammed ever do any healing or brought the dead back to life?
Jesus did those through his fathers power while he was in “flesh” without his former glory. Quran 3:49 and 5:113.

Back to the point, do you know that God the Father has emotions, he gets angry, jealous, upset? Is it wrong for Christ to have those in the “flesh” while he was not with his former glory back in heaven? Are you asking Christ to be higher that God the Father? (The reason why we feel angry jealous etc is because we are created in the image and the likeness of God Genesis 1:26)

For someone to find the truth it requires objectivity. If we are leaned on our parents understanding or traditional understand or someone else’s, we may loose heaven. Quite rightly Jesus said “if you love mother or father more than me your are not worth of me”. Don’t let someone elses understanding be ours, inspect the facts, be objective.

Please forgive any grammatical error or potential offense. I did not intend indend for any of that to happen. I pray that we and the rest of the world are brought closer to God in every way and we keep an objective mind.

    Great to be alive!

    Servant of God,

    1. Jesus was fearless, yet He did cry out, beginning in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was facing spiritual death on that cross…the physical death painful, certainly. But He had been with His Father from all eternity and now they had to be temporarily separated if Jesus’ mission was to be successful, because the last Garden scene was when Adam separated himself from God. God had to separate himself from the Second Adam – oh death, where is thy sting?? Because He arose a Victor and thus, the perfect Lamb of God Isaiah 53 (and the last part of Isaiah 52 talks about) prophesied happened and will happen when Israel accepts Him as Messiah in the 2nd half of the Great Tribulation.

      1. Yes. Certainly Isaiah 53 is a prophecy about Christ and they are so many more about Christ from different prophets. Moses, David, Psalms- Solomon, John the Baptist. That’s why the three wise men knew of Jesus virgin birth.

  7. mohammed waged war against the jewish and Christian people who raised him, trained him, and taught him all he knew about God and Religion. When the people of Mecca rejected Mohammed’s revelations, and refused to acknowledge his writings as prophetic, he raised an army to destroy the city. with such origins, I don’t see any purpose in trying to combine opposing faiths. Most Muslims are entirely ignorant of the Bible because “the Bible and Torah have been corrupted” the are not worth studying. Mohammed’s ignorance/rejection of canonized writings are apparent throughout his writings, and cannot be reconciled with the teachings of Torah and the Bible.

    1. That it true that it might not be worth studying the Quran. We will still get to heaven in any case once we live the life we should. But out of love for our fellow Muslims we read the Quran to show them the great weaknesses in the Quran, the way women are treated, the amount of wives men are allowed, the 9 wives Mohammed had which is against the Quran itself, Mohammed having sex with a nine year old girl, its ok for the men to take the slave girls as wives, the requirements to fight against the enemies for not believing in Quran, the facing to the east for prayers which is earthly since the earth rotates and so much more. Whew. Do you see how greater is the Bible above the Quran? Because it’s God’s word. One wife, love your enemies, live peaceably with all, Jesus never had 9 year old wife, etc. If someone force themself to believe in the Quran then they will not see the truth. It requires objectivity. Inspect both the Quran and Bible and see the difference.

  8. If a Muslim is objective he/she will see the truth about the Bible. Everything is truth. The claim of corruption in the Bible was never proven and to rest faith in that shows blindness. You can accept a piece of the Bible and reject another piece then the piece you accept you still have to claim it’s corrupt. We just have to pray for Muslims and everyone else to be objective about God’s word. The Bible. As you rightly said the scripture goes on with description of the Comforter, the Spirit. Mohammed clearly does not fit those descriptions. I pray that Muslims open their eyes for the sake of heaven. Two quick points. The Quran states that men are to forsake their wives if she does not listen Quran 4:34 and to fight the unbeliever Quran 9:5 but the Bible states that men are to love their wives as he loved the church and give his life for it. Ephesians 5:25. And to love your enemies. Matthew 5:44. Which one is the the higher law? Which one seems Godly? Which one is corrupt?

    Objectivity is important.

  9. If you say Mohammed is not the comforter, then who was Isaiah 29:12 referring to

    1. Hi Mukaila, thanks for the interest. All I ask for is objectivity at first. Just like John 14 with the holy spirit: it has to be interpreted in its context and not try to push someone else’s identity into that because even if you do you gave to accept everything else about Jesus from John about him being the son of God and God and also the comforter is the Holy Spirit.

The passage in Isaiah 29:12 is written against the ones that cannot read the book because it is sealed and one is unlearned. Continue reading unto the rest of verses and even the verses before to get the context. God was angry with the people not being able to read his precepts and knowing it. He said that use lips to honor him but their hearts are far from him. Theu did not spend the time to learn his precepts so they are “unlearned”. Hence, the reason for the new covenant that was prophesied which also correlates with Jeremiah 31:33. The people’s lips were close to God but heart was far.

If you would like to read a prophecy read Isiah 53, the entire chapter and not just one verse.

The thing is, you can find so many words in the Bible and those words might match a word in another book but that dosent mean because a word matches a word it proves something, please be objective and take the context of the scriptures. Take the context of Isiah chapter 53 and see the difference compared to Isiah 29:12.

      Hope this helps,
Let me know if I can clarify anything.

  10. Very nice all, I read the whole thing and It helped me to understand the differences.
However, in my lifetime, I have learned God is God and no one has the right to go against God. If you have any question you can always talk to God.

Ask God any question in Jesus Christ’s name and he will answer it.

If he does not answer it, then he is fake. The key to this statement is (in Jesus Christ’s name)

  11. Jesus is no god he is a prophet

  12. Hi Ayesha, what is your proof? There are more proofs for him being God than anything. He healed the deaf, blind, dumb, resurrected the dead, created us, (even the quran confirm these things) he was prophesied by Moses, Daniel, Elijah, Isaiah; etc. But NO prophesy of Mohammed.

I can provide proof that Mohammed had sexual activity with a girl 7-9 years old, a child. Way before she had her first menstruation. Really a sad situation for a child. Did Jesus do anything like that?

  13. If Jesus is God then sorry to say God lied to Mosis for telling him no man can see his face because His shines like the sun.

    1. Hi Yakubu, Thank you for that point. No “man” can see the face of God. So if Jesus saw him… then what was Jesus? 🙂

  14. Hi Ricky,
If Jesus is God then everyone around him for twentysomething years must have been gods too because they could see him. Are you saying Judas was also a god … or are there harmful and beneficial gods?- this falls into the teachings of the hindu and roman culture if I am not mistaken.
Monotheism means belief in one entity as the beloved prophet Abraham declared. You cannot declare Uzaire son of god because he learnt he Torah by heart. You cannot combine three entities and call them one. The words and teachings of Jesus were construed to fit in with the Roman Empire’s belief at that time.

  15. I love James’s point about only asking for anything and everything from the one true God. How can the god who created me be the false god. Therefore it’s a brilliant idea to ask from ‘the Lord who created me’ . For me it was a lightbulb moment because nobody can deny it and I don’t need to try to clarify and be mistaken.

  16. Hi Salam, thanks for the points you have made. I really love the book of James. It is a practical book for a Christian life. To address your points; again I ask for an objective mind like in my other points on this site.

    1. James 1:1 states “James a servant of God and our Lord Jesus Christ…” question? How can James be a servant to both God the Father and Jesus at the SAME time? The reason why is because God the Father and Jesus are ONE which Jesus stated already. Serving Jesus was also serving God and serving God is also serving Jesus.

Secondly, I extremely love your point about “the Lord who created me”. Who is the Lord according to James 1:1? I will leave that for you to answer.

    2. James 1:27 states “pure religoin before God the Father is this….” why why did James specify which God, that is God “the Father”? This is the lightbulb moment for everyone. It simply implies that there is some other “God”. Only an objective mind would admit that it implies that there is also another God. They are God the Spirit and God the Son.

    3. In the Torah, Genesis 1:26 it states “let us make man” who is the “us”? *lighbulb*. Read John 1:1 which explains that nothing was made without Jesus. Jesus, God the Son, was from the beginning and created everything with God the Father.

    4. Not because the apostles and other saw Jesus, he was not God. Jesus came in literal “flesh” through a virgin birth. Jesus bled, got angry, face emotional pain, an was even hungry for normal food. He was “flesh”. It was a purpose that he came as human, so that real death could occur, real blood could be shed for our forgiveness. Read the book of John chapter 1 which explains that Jesus was in the beginning but took on “flesh”. At that point when he was on earth he gave up his majesty and everything else he had before with “God the Father” to be offered as the sacrifice for makind so that forgiveness will finally be obtained. He gave up everything. In other words he was simply human. He was not in spiritual form but flesh.

    5. How can three be one? Jesus states that when a man and a woman marry they become one. Matthew 19:5. If a man and a woman becomes one do you think spirit, son and father can be one? Or is it too impossible or they do not have the power? Are you saying the God has limited powers or you do not believe in the powers of God? Lack of faith? To believe in God and his words requires faith.

    6. Didn’t the quran confirmed that Jesus resurrected the dead? Even created life? Healed? Did miracles? Unless those verses were skipped. Did Mohammed ever created life? Or raised the dead? Or heal all forms of diseases?

Please note, I stuck with the book of James only and we have many many more books and scriptures to look at when it comes to Jesus being God also including the Gospels which the Quran speaks about.

    Besides your questions now,

    Points to consider for Mohammed:
Have you ever studied what Mohammed did compared to Jesus? Amount of wives, sexual activity with a child without menustration as yet (age 7)- how would you like to offer your 7 year old  daughter as wife to a 50 year old man who has wives already- I know you wouldn’t, the company  commandment to have sex with the slave women who had husbands Qura 4:24, the commandment to fight against the Christians and Jews Quran 9:29, rage of war,  he even said to forsake your wife (some versions of the Quran clearly states to beat her) in bed Quran 4:34, etc.

    Points to consider for Jesus:
He never got married, never had sexual activity with a 7 year old, when Peter was about to fight for Jesus he said to Peter ” if you live by the sword you die by the sword” and said to love your enemies. He said to pray for our enemies and turn the other cheek when they hit one cheek, he commanded that there be ONE man to ONE woman not multiple, he cammanded men to love their wives as He love the church and give his life for it. He never ask us to forsake our wife in bed.

Thanks again Salam and this is not to disrespect you or anyone but facts. If you are really objective you will consider the points that I share with James and Mohammed probably take a further research to compare Jesus and Mohammed life which be the starting to see Jesus as God.

  17. So d three persons(the father, son, holy spirit)are equal right!…den hw come is it dat jesus doesnt knw d last hour?…question 2:why do christians not pray to d holy spirit instead of God since they are equal and use jesus 2 pray to God and not pray 2 jesus instead??

    1. Hi Abdullahi, a couple things first:
      1. What is the definition of God?
      2. Does Jesus posses any of the qualities?

      1. Definition of God- simply put, a spiritual being with supernatural powers, working miracles such as bringing dead to life and healing all diseases, the creator of the Universe. If you are to use the word God then one must accept that Jesus is God. The Quran gives account of these evidences to Jesus. What more than that does someone need? They only way for someone to not accept this is if they were trained otherwise for years so it’s hard to change that culture.

Jesus posess all these qualities so why is it so difficult to accept Jesus as God.

Jesus did not know the hour of his return.  Please read my other points on this site.
      – Jesus was in flesh, came as a man through a virgin birth. Not as God but as a human servant. The reason for this is for us to finally have forgiveness of sin. A true sacrifice needed to be made. The blood of animals was never to forgive sins and will never take away sins. It was simply an appeasement to God to pass over that person until the true sacrifice is made and forgiveness finally obtained. It was a roll forward to the cross of Jesus.

      – Jesus is God the Son. Yewah, is God the Father as i explained in James already, that is why you will see God the Father in the bible alot which is simply to identify which of the God. Again, does Jesus posess the qualities of God? Even the Quran shows you so. Think about a father a son relationship: if you have a biological  son don’t you think he will have your DNA? Wouldn’t he have your nature? Your surname? If your surname is Abdool your son’s surname will be Abdool or atleast have your DNA. Our heavenly father is God and he has a son who is also God. They both have the same surname, designation, nature, authority because God the Father passed that authority to his Son. So as the biological father do you think you told your son everything? If Jesus didn’t know the hour it simply means that God the Father did not wish for him to know as yet. Even if Jesus had the powers to know he will not go against his father’s will. Would you like for your son to be disrespectful to your wish? When he was in the garden ready to be killed dont you think he could have called angels to help him? But he stuck to his fathers will to show his respect and obedience. This does not diminish anything about Jesus being God. Do you also know that all authorities came from God the Father to God the Son? Does this mean that Jesus is not God because his authority was given to him? Certainly not, why would the father give authority to the son? Simply because his very nature is of his father, God. Jesus was apart of creation, healed, brought dead to life, existed way before the earth, etc. Jesus, God the Son is of the very nature of God the Father. Similary, God shared his spirit for us to have as the Comforter, to guide us. What nature is the spirit? Of the devil or God?

Hopefully you get the answer for why we pray to God the Father: he is God the Father and Jesus is God the Son. God the Father desire it to be so, God the Son desire it to be so so why question what they wish to have from us humans? If the Father and God the Son wish for that to be changed they would have changed that. When we pray we have to pray through Christ, if not our prayers are in unanswered. Jesus stated that no come comes to the father except through me John 14:6. It’s not about praying through east or west which is earthly, the earth rotates, so there is no fixed east or west. It’s about praying through God the Son to God the Father.

  18. Interesting arguments,
However my view is Jesus(pbuh) was special because the Quran says he was blessed with holy spirit(incidentally one of the powers of God) but he was not God.In the bible he refers to himself as ‘Son of Man’. When he was crucified he said ‘Father why have you forsaken me?”(referring to the real God, while he was a viceroy, son).why in the blazes would he be referring to himself-makes no sense. In Acts he even refers himself to as servant of God. And honestly you think an entity which created the universe can die?Thats just silliness. Quran does not deny historical accounts rather it provides a different explanation where the appearance of some other unimportant follower of him was changed to his while he was protected by God.Also how can you say that it was the holy spirit-there are atleast 3 possible interpretations comforter, advocate and holy spirit.2 of them works for Muhammed(pbuh) as he was sent as a mercy for the worlds-in a sense a comforter or it if you consider advocate-he established good moral ethics(accurate hadiths)

    Anyway those are my thoughts

  19. Dear believers,
Every discussion starts with the knowledge of the very beginnings. When Muslim or Christians using words as Jesus, Isa, God and other words which where not from the beginning then we are already going astray and any word preceding from us is useless for learning the matter.
So at closest to the beginning we have to recognize this word first:
Both or (most) religions uses this word wrong because it is a translation from what is coming from ‘a group divine entities’. Scripture is clear:
Genesis 1 the gods mentioned here are the ‘elohim’ or the ‘alohaim’ plural ‘gods’
and were translated to ‘God’ which is false and done on purpose by the religious peoples understanding. I use here the ‘E’ but I could also use ‘A’
Genesis 2 the ‘GOD’ mentioned here is also from the ‘elohim’ but now it is the ‘MOST HIGH EL(ohim) and should be written as ‘YHVH Elohim’ in Scriptures this who we are talking about. The Israelites at that time considered the name so ‘Holy’ that they covered the Name by using other descriptions.

In the Scriptures one of His names from the ‘MOST HIGH EL(ohim)’ was changed to ‘GOD’ and often translated is the ‘Lord God or God’ which is a huge deception.
You understand that using ‘elohim’ is a more generalization of the ‘divine entities’ where ‘Elohim’ is used for defining the MOST HIGH EL(ohim).
Just see ‘Elohim’ as a ‘family name’.

Translating ‘GOD’ to ‘GOD’ or “ALLAH’ or ‘BRAHMA’ or whatever does make those all the same ‘GOD’ while we mean the MOST HIGH EL(ohim)

The MOST HIGH EL(ohim) is also known as ‘YHVH’ and some say YaHUaH, YaHWaH or even JeHoVaH. But the translation of YHVH to ‘GOD’ is wrong because then we can make all names to our idol which is transgression of ‘TORAH’ which are the instructions from our ABBA (Father).
    YHVH means I AM
YHVH Elohim is the ‘Self Existing YHVH’
or as said to Moses ‘eYeH aser eYeH’ or ‘aYaH aser aYaH’
what is like ‘I AM that I AM’ or ‘I BE what I BE’
Do you understand and see the ‘Greatness’ you are reading here?

    To keep this short:
YesHUa who is maybe known to many as Jesus, Isa or Buddha, IeSous….
means YAH His SALVATION. And His name is in the name of His Father.
YesHua is YHVH Elohim and is not limited to human reasoning and was and is and will be as it is written from the beginning.

Let your Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of Truth do the work
I hope and pray this will find good ground in all Believers is the world.

  20. Islam, being a false religion, would not have any viable or valid references in the Bible concerning Muhammad. The Muslim scholars attempt to claim verses, but they are not even close to the mark. However, Muhammad did planarize verses from the Bible; in some cases altering them to fit his narrative.
The Jesus of the Quran, Isa, is another Jesus altogether and in no way the same Jesus of the New Testament (I certainly do not recognize him). Muhammad’s Jesus cannot save. The Bible is God-breathed and He would not have deliberately put any references into the text validating a false religion. Islam and Christianity do not worship the same God.

    1. to you that you are saying that Jesus the prophet of Allah testefy the prophet Muhammad pbuh , and who is that holy spirit, you have to check Muhammad s.a.w biography and see the miracles. please check the biography vividly remember that Jesus is the of Allah one only

  21. to you that you are saying that Jesus the prophet of Allah testefy the prophet Muhammad pbuh , and who is that holy spirit, you have to check Muhammad s.a.w biography and see the miracles. please check the biography vividly remember that Jesus is the of Allah one only

  22. “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” – Numbers 23:19

“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” – John 20:21

“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know” – Acts 2:22

“I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself” – John 5:19

And here, for those who say Allah is not the God:
    ‘فِي البَدءِ خَلَقَ اللهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضَ ‘ Arabic Bible, Genesis 1:1
    اللهُ – Allah – the God
meaning : “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” English Bible, Genesis 1:1

  23. Jesus is not God he is the Son of God that’s why he prays and follows God’s command if he was God he wouldn’t need to follow commands because he would already know what to do.
