Were any changes made to the Bible? Didn’t God say not to add to the Bible?

Sounds like there was many changes and stuff added all the time.  Does our Lord not say that nothing whatsoever should be changed in the bible? Or there will be punishment? Was there that kind of change? How would we this day and age know if something or maybe a lot was changed past these many years? It could be added or already in there wrote by dis-believers? I pray not.   I love your timeline web. I could not stop reading. I am a true believer in our Lord Jesus. I need a lot of work to understand better.  I have a lot of trouble remembering what I read and learn. Tina.

The Prophet Moses and the Ten Commandments

Hi Tina: The Bible is a collection of small books which is why it’s called the Bible. The word Bible is a form of the Latin word Bible or group of books. There are two verses in the Bible where the WRITER commands that the book he wrote should not be changed.    Both of those verses apply to only that book of the Bible not the Bible as a whole since The Bible as we know it did not exist when those books were written.

In Deuteronomy 4:2 Moses commands that no words should be added or changed in Deuteronomy.   In Revelation (also the last book contained in the Bible) John makes a similar statement.  After John wrote Revelation, he then wrote the letters we know as 1st, 2nd and 3rd John.

So even John wrote more of the Bible after writing Revelation. Since these separate books were all compiled into one “Book” known as the Bible, with Revelation at the end,  people have confusedly thought John’s statement refers to the whole Bible, not the Book of Revelation.

However, none of this means a man can add to the Bible.  While man must not add or change the Bible, from the time of Moses God did add to His word through inspired men.  (If He hadn’t we would have a much shorter Bible.) The men who wrote these books are known to be prophetic and inspired.  Their words have been carefully kept throughout the years through God’s miraculous hand.  Multiple copies are kept and compared.

When copied, men carefully reviewed them to be sure they were accurately copied. The other changes you are referring to are twofold.  First – which books are going to be included in the Bible.  That has changed over time as inspired men have discussed which writings are true historically and doctrinally and which are not.  That’s how we got a set of books known as The Apocrypha which at one time were included in the King James Bible but since have been removed. The second set of changes refers to the translations from the original languages each of the books was written in, into English (or Spanish or Russian or whatever.)   Men worked together to translate the Bible from it’s original languages (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic) into the languages we understand today.  Again their work is reviewed, and cross-checked to be sure it is true to the original meaning. The Bible, the inspired word of God, is available to people like you and me because of these translations.

  1. And yet, here it stands. There are so many different bibles, in which the very words were changed since the original. You’ve got the Hebrew Bible, the Greek, The Catholic, the Mormon, the pentecostal, the evangelistic, the baptist, and many others.

I’ve read a few of them. And so much is changed in each bible and so much added. For instance, in the king James version the passage of [ Exodus 22:18] says:

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

When the it originally says, do not suffer a poisoner to live.

    1. I suggest reading the original greek/hebrew or at least using a site that shows the key hebrew words and their various meanings.

      1. I suggest reading the King James Bible, compare it to any other Bible and you’ll see why it is the best translation. For instance Matthew 24:36 in the KJV says: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
The New Life Version says “But no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.”
The New International Version says: “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father”
The ESV says ““But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son,[a] but the Father only. ”
They all add to the Bible, and as Tina rightly pointed out, no one should add to the Bible – Revelation 22:19 “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Don’t read the Hebrew don’t read the Greek, it’s a waste of time, people who were professionally trained already translated the Hebrew/Greek into the King James Version. This Bible is the perfect word of God and I recommend you as a fellow child of Christ to start (if you do not already) reading the KJV. God bless and goodnight.

        1. Here’s a list of further changes to the Bible
          http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Bible/NIV/300_changes.htm

        2. The KJV is fraught with mistranslations.

        3. Reply to Follow _God,
KJV also not the bible but version of the bible. All versions have many many mistakes, similar KJV also full of mistakes. No version really translation from original bible because original bible is not on earth. God said: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8) but nobody care and finally the original bible disappear and versions took birth. Now whatever have in our hand those all are man made with full of lies, mistakes and contradictions. Bible itself says the writers (scribes) of the bible entered lies in the bible: “How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.” (Jeremiah 8:8).
Present bible have some pornography words and story (Gen.19:30-38) and (Ezekiel 23:3, 8, 18-21),. No pastor open their mouth on this chapters neither giving any explanation on these verses. Who is shyness they will get scruple to open these verses and read in-front of their Father, Mother, Daughter, Son, Sister…
Today only one and intact revelation of Almighty God and that is Qur’an, without any deviation, lie, contradiction, pornography and disgraceful words.”Praise be to Allah, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness:” (Qur’an 18:1) When the bible says: “How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.” (Jeremiah 8:8) Qur’an is for guidance who believe and good understand.
Jesus said: “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” (John 16:12-14). This Spirit of truth who arrived after Jesus Christ is not other than Muhammad (pbuh) on whom God revealed His final revelation Qur’an in which have past, present and future, Oneness of Almighty God and glory of Jesus Christ. So I request you at-least one time read translation of this Qur’an sincerely with belief and good understanding and see the life of Jesus Christ in this final revelation of Almighty God.
When Muslims memorizing God’s words, God said: “Indeed, it is We who sent down the message (Qur’an) and indeed, We will be its guardian.” (Qur’an 15:9)

          1. The example between the changes in the Bible and The Holy Qur’an. The Qur’an has been memorised and kept, and will be kept till the end of the world, but through different translations and interpretations the Bible has not been kept in its original meaning, and God’s true name has been replaced by ‘Lord’, or ‘He.’

          2. I would like to make the comment that this article was written about the Christian Bible. Seeing mention of Allah’s book, the Qur’an, I’d like to take a moment and make the distinction that the God of Christians has revealed Himself as one God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each Person of the Trinity is fully God, God is not three gods but three in one God. The Islamic concept of Allah and the Jewish concept of Yahweh deny the Trinity. They eliminate Jesus as God’s Son and the Holy Spirit as part of the Godhead. Christians trust that by Jesus’ death and resurrection, along with the indwelling of His Spirit, sin is forgiven, the conscience is cleansed, and the human soul is freed to pursue God and goodness without the fear of punishment (Hebrews 10:22). A Muslim may love Allah and wish to please Allah, but the question in his mind will invariably be “is it enough? Are my works enough to merit salvation?” Christians believe salvation is not based on man’s efforts; it is given thru God’s grace. Without the Holy Spirit, there is no sanctification, no peace, no freedom (Romans 8:6; 2 Corinthians 3:17). Christians believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to provide an answer to the question “is my work enough?” The answer is, no, our work is not enough (Matthew 5:48), you can not try on your own to appease God. In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1–48), the Jews that Jesus spoke to, just like the Muslims who follow Allah, were trapped by the knowledge that nothing they did would ever meet God’s perfect standard. Allah offers no such promise. Muslims believe Allah will be merciful to them based on his evaluation of their performance. But salvation is never sure; it is never a promise. But Christ’s perfect life, atoning death, and resurrection did meet God’s standard (Hebrews 10:10; Romans 8:1–8). Jesus’ message to the Jews and His message now, to Muslims and everyone else, is “repent and believe” (Mark 1:15). This does not mean “stop sinning” and “believe that God exists.” It means “turn from sin and stop trying to please God by your own ability” and “believe that Christ has accomplished everything for you.” The promise to those who trust Christ is that they will become the children of God (John 1:12). One day, Christ will return to judge and rule (Acts 10:42, 43). When Arabic-speaking Christians use the word Allah, it is usually used in combination with the word al-Ab. Allah al-Abmeans “God the Father,” and this usage is one way Arab Christians distinguish themselves from Muslims.

          3. You just severely missed quoted the Bible and misinterpreted it. You also avoided the part where God says that many false teachings will come about and especially in the end times. If you are really gonna say that Jesus is part of the Caraun and then pretend like you care about his teachings you would live by them. You don’t get to kill people who disagree with you. The Bible doesn’t contradict itself. You just don’t understand it.

        4. I recommend The Scriptures and Aramaic English New Testament

        5. Context! Context! Context! When scripture informs us not to add or take away it is speaking of changing it’s intended CONTEXT. Your comment is the PERFECT example of adding and taking away. You’ve just taken the Bible OUT of it’s CONTEXT.

Please do your do diligence as a follower of Christ and do as is commanded in 2 Timothy 2:15.

        6. And now the King James Bible has changed more than any other. Unicorns and the word “stuff” appears. The lion no longer lays with the lamb in Isaiah 11:6.

      2. I would recommend you to read QURAN which clarified all mistakes. And has no doubt to believe in one God

    2. The Baptist Bible? Evangelistic? Pentecostal? I’ve studied the Word of God for 50 years. These don’t exist.

    3. Dear,
There are not so many bible but so many versions. The original Greek or Hebrew Bible is not on earth, whatever have all those only versions and version means something change. It is a great profitable business for version makers to print new edition and put in the followers by saying this perfect translation from original bible, though all those are liars because nobody produced original bible till date. Many many examples we can put from different versions about their lie statement.

      1. The example between the changes in the Bible and The Holy Qur’an. The Qur’an has been memorised and kept and will be kept till the end of the world, but through different translations and interpretations the Bible has not been kept in its original meaning, and God’s true name has been replaced by ‘Lord’, or ‘He.’

      2. God said to not take away or add to his word yet man has done this.. The holy Bible are books of God’s word put together but so much was not included in making the bible.. There are many books that were not included for public eyes like the book of Enoch among many others.. We know from the Bible that Enoch is real and yet man only included parts of Enoch writings. Seems the excluded only the important parts about things God wanted Enoch to share with us.. This is the truth and yet all most all the churches teach that we should never read or try and understand the book of Enoch.. That it is a sin.. Well I do not think God would have had a conversation with just anyone and not want it to be recorded for us to read and learn.. I am struggling with this because I feel that God is telling me I am correct in what I feel to be true and then I have man telling me its not.. I am truly struggling with accepting man’s word as truth over God’s word as truth.. At the end of the day I choose God.. Living as man is hard on this earth. The devil is hard at work all the time.. And I know its so important to stay in the word and not stray away from his word. I can not just accept that man taketh away some of Gods words to make a bible.. I am not saying the Bible isn’t true.. I believe the Bible is God’s word.. I also believe a lot of his word was left out.. any advice and or references to scriptures that could help me better underatand is greatly appreciated..

  2. if there are no changes in the bible why are we not worshiping the creator as the israelites do and in christianity we all have all diverse of worshiping

    1. Christians do worship the creator, but you can only understand this if you understand the doctrine of the trinity.

      1. Bible says there is no God but one.Quran says same.. then why Christian bring the theory of Trinity while Jesus never claimed devinty

        1. Jesus said, “If you see me, you see the Father. I and the Father are one.” That’s divinity teaching.

        2. You just lied. Jesus said he was God’s Son. The Bible also makes a point of stating Jesus was God’s “begotten Son”. The Trinity is in Bible also.

      2. Trinity is a lie brought in by Constantine to bring the pagan doctrine of Isis, Horus, and Seb into the church.

        1. That’s not true either. The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit are all spoken of many times in the Bible. The Dead Sea scrolls contain much of the Bible and there was recently another set of a rolls found which back up the Bible and the Dead Sea scrolls.

      3. Yet the doctrine of Trinity doesn’t exist in the bible. if it was such an important concept, why Jesus never mentioned it not did he teach it?

        1. He didn’t teach it in the exact word “trinity” but he referenced God as the Father, called himself the Son of Man which to Jews was known to be a claim to be the Son of the living God, and when he was with the apostles in the upper room after his resurrection, he said the Father would send the advocate. In another passage he is quoted as having said “receive the Holy Spirit” after it says “he breathed on them saying” and as someone else rightly stated it also says that Jesus said “the Father and I are one, the Father is in me and I am in the Father”. And he told his disciples to go and teach all nations baptizing them IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

        2. So you’ve never read the Bible…got it. It’s there, it’s not a doctrine. They’re real beings, not an ideology.

    2. All worship creator but many are associating some and some with creator and worships them too which is the most sinful act. Instead creator or associating somebody else with creator, punishment of such worshiper is hell.

      1. I’ve noticed much in Islam is about punishment and hell. Muslims seem to think it’s ok to kill people who don’t agree with them. God says we’re supposed to obey those he’s placed in authority over us unless they go against God, but he still doesn’t say it’s ok to kill people even when they do oppose the Father. He says vengeance is his to repay, not ours.

  3. I have read many of the questions discussed on this site and all are good questions. However, I saw none of the questions that should be asked. Why has no one inquired into the”lost gospels” that were destroyed by the council of the 3rd Caesar when they were charged to make a collection for the masses? The bible says that nothing should be added to or taken away, that all were needed to receive the truth. Historically proven scrolls have been found that were written during the time period of Jesus, as well as gospels written before and after. They have undergone extensive authenticity tests and have been proven real. Why hasn’t this raised any sort of unrest with in the Christian community. I am a believer in my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. I guess I just feel like I’ve been lied to my whole life. Please,I don’t mean to offend or upset anyone, I just want to know, am I the only person that feels this way. I will leave this in closing: The Gospel of Judas. Look into it..it may change your opinion of Judas and his role in Christ’s life..Also, The Gospel of Mary Magdalene..she was more that just a follower of Christ..so much more so that I also believe that Christ does have an earthly bloodline by birth of his child.

    1. http://www.livescience.com/28506-gospel-judas-ink-authenticity.html
Just in case anyone would like to do their own research.

    2. You may find more arguments pro and con as to the authenticity of the Gospel of Mary in this article
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Mary

      1. Wikipedia is not a source. Using it as one is why our educational institutions have turned into cesspools.

    3. The biggest lie is messiah’s name. It’s NOT jesus. It’s Yeshua.

Yeshua is a Hebrew name, and it means “Salvation” in Hebrew.

Go read Matthew 1:22 using the word “Salvation” in place of the mistranslated word “jesus.”

Never, ever, ever in His life was messiah ever called “jesus.”

      1. Yeshua is the Hebrew name, in the English language it’s jesus. Just like gods name is Yahweh but in English it’s jehovah

        1. Jesus is said as Yeshu in Modern Hebrew and Hindu language and there was a god called Esus and he was called Hesus and the name Jesus is said as Hesus in Tagalog language even though Hesus was the name of another god

The name “Jesus” is an Anglicized variation of “Yeshu” which is a curse to blot out the name of the Messiah.

Jesus (English/Spanish) is Yeshu (Hebrew) is Yesu (Chinese) which is a curse to “blot out” His name

In China, the Messiah is called “Yesu” – NOT realizing it actually means “May His name be obliterated”

Babylonian Talmudic Jews now have unsuspecting “Christian” Gentiles worldwide and Chinese declaring “may the Messiah’s name be obliterated” which it almost has been.

The Orthodox Jews shorted Yeshua to Yeshu than Yeshu became Iesu in Early Greek than Iesu became Iesous than iesus and now Jesus and Jesus is traced all the way back to Yeshu and Iesu and Yeshu means may his name and memory be blotted out and obliterated

Jesus was also the name of a slave ship called Jesus of Lübeck that enslaved thousands of innocent Africans and Jesus is said as Yeshu in Modern Hebrew and Modern Translations

Massoritic JEWISH scribes have also played a large role in the formation of the word JEEZUS since they were largely responsible for the Greek IESU though via their name YESHU. The scripTUREs confirm this since they say that the false pen of the Jewish scribes have worked ruin in order to make us forget the Name of our creator and his son.

Yeshua in English is Joshua not Jesus (Latino name)

    4. God instruct to the believers: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8) but no one memorized His words and thrown them back who got His words. Because of this reason God also turn His face from believers and took up His revelation. Now whatever have are versions, not original. Bible itself confirm version makers put lie in me. ““How can you say, ‘We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us’? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes has made it into lie.” (Jeremiah 8:8)
Jesus Christ is no more than a messenger of God. He is not God, neither son of God but he is “Son of God”. In biblical language “Son” used with God in meaning of servant, thus “Son of God” means servant of God. See translation of this word in below versions-
Acts 3:13, The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; (KJV)
Acts 3:13, The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, (ESV, NLT, NIV…)
Acts 3:26, Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, (KJV)
Acts 3:26, When God raised up his servant Jesus, (NLT, NIV, ESV…)
God never change His form. nobody has seen Him and He never worship any but all worship Him. Jesus worship his God (Matt.26:39, 42, 44) and it is sufficient that he was/is not God.

    5. You say you are a believer of Jesus Christ, you are worshiping another Jesus if you believe he has an earthly bloodline. Jesus was NOT married and though he was tempted at every point he NEVER sinned. Had he sinned he could never had been a perfect sacrifice, and never could be our saviour. You need ask for the Holy Spirit. God will give to all who ask for this gift. The Holy Spirit will lead you to all truth. I am praying for you.

      1. WTF? Noone understands the Trinity because it was just made up in order to be a mystery. If you think you understand it, then this is proff positive that you don’t

        1. Oh man, then if you said it, that’s all the proff I need.
It wasn’t made it. It’s right there in black and white.

    6. If you are a believer in Christ, how did you come to believe if it were not from the Word.

Two points I’d like to make…

FIRST….The Church is the Bride of Christ

      Isaiah 54:5 ESV

For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

      ALSO….

Christ did not have have sex, a wife, or biological children

Isaiah 53:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 He was taken from [a]prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
      For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

      1. You laid out plenty of truth…now stop using perverted versions of the Bible. The King James, that’s it and that’s all. Every other version was printed after 1950 when they changed other religions documentation also. The were Buddhist teaching back in the day which spoke of Jesus return one day. I learned this from a Thai missionary. He told me they changed the original documents. He talked about how and why they were changed. That’s when they started printing all these crazy “versions” of the Bible.

    7. I’m not sure why you believe Christ has an earthly bloodline through birth of a child by Mary Magdalene. Jesus was solely focused on his ministry and mission here on Earth and it was not in the Father’s plan that we know of that Jesus should be married, his mission was to minister to the lost sheep of Israel and bring them back to the Father and to reconcile all mankind to God through his ultimate sacrifice of himself by dying on the cross as the final blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, and new covenant between God and humanity. He was obedient always to the Father…I seriously doubt that he was married to anyone let alone fathered a child on earth and thereby has an earthly bloodline. I don’t believe God sent his Son to earth to father a line of physical descendants. And He always did his Father’s will even to death, because He knew in advance the leaders of the Jewish people would seek to put him to death and that God’s plan was to raise him after 3 days to show his power. Anyway, my point is, Jesus had a specific mission on this Earth and was only in public ministry as far as we know for 3 years before his crucifixion so I highly doubt he would have let himself be distracted/sidetracked by marriage and fathering a child. That would make him less than divine but merely human, or putting him on the same level as Greek or Roman mythology gods who are said to have fathered children with mortals, demigods.

    8. I feel exactly the same.. we are taught to not read the book of Enoch or any other book excluded from the Bible that it’s a sin.. Why is this? Shouldn’t all his word be included even if its hard to hear because some parts are disturbing.. Gods word is ment to be exactly what it is..

  4. I think in old testament first 5 books were not wrote mossas because in that books so many times we see the sentence that ” mosa said to god” or ” god said to mosa” if mosa wrote that books he should have write ” god said to me” or ” I said to God” so I think it is not true that whole five first books wrote mossas……

  5. Read Psalm 12 the words are the man taking to God and the last 4 verses is God answering … The WORDS of the Lord are pure words as (not like) silver tried in a furnace of earth purified seven times.(This is speaking of the translation in a language)
Thou (Jesus) shall keep them (Words not them of that time) O Lord Thou shall preserve them (the words not people) from this generation for ever.
    Nuff said 🙂

  6. Revelations does state, “If any MAN shall add” (chap. 22:18) and “If any MAN shall take away” (chap. 22:19). However, this must be interpreted according to the scriptures and the meaning of MAN. So, if we look at Galatians 1:11-12, Paul explains the difference between MAN and inspired men of God. Inspired MEN of God, are those like unto Paul who have received the gospel by “revelation” and are “authorized” (or called by) Jesus Christ (as was Paul – Galatians 1:1 an apostle, by Jesus Christ and not by man), as opposed to those “of” man, or taught “by man” (those who interpret scripture but are not authorized by God to receive or interpret revelation – these are “men”,or “man” that shall not add to, nor take away). (See also 2nd Peter 1:20-21). However, why would the Lord stop speaking to his authorized servants in our day? Does he feel like we don’t need his direction today? Is he off skiing down a slope in the heavens above or playing golf? “Men” have determined that the heavens are shut and the God of heaven no longer speaks to his children today. Not much of a loving God if that were true. Yet, although ministers today, who do not believe the heavens are open and reject revelation today determine exactly the interpretations throughout the Bible. But if they do not believe that the Lord speaks through authorized apostles and prophets today, (the same organization he created on the earth when he lived on the earth, and who among them has the right to change the organization he created as the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then where did they receive their authority to speak for him and change things he created? Are they better than Jesus Christ to change his organization, and are they then the “men” or “man” that are adding or taking away and told not to? Does the Lord speak through his authorized servants today – apostles and prophets , Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone
as spoken of in Ephesians 2:19-20, or in Ephesians 4:11-14 where he gave apostles and prophets, and others, vs. 11 – then why he gave them, vs. 12, then how long we will have them, vs. 13, and then again he specifies “why” he gave them- that we henceforth be no ore children tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine”. And why does it state in the Revelations of John (Chap. 11:10 (a future event, the whole chapter) about 2 prophets in the last days will exist on the earth, if the Savior did no longer have his organization on the earth . I can testify that God has restored his church organization with authorized apostles, prophets, etc,
as he authorized and called in his day. That he is the same today. I know this to be true. Thank you for reading. Richard Cranston

    1. St. Paul was a most liar and Antichrist, he was not from 12 apostles of Jesus Christ and he was not chosen by Jesus Christ but this liar said: “Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,” (Rm.1:1). Jesus Christ named his 12 apostles but not St, Paul, it mean Paul never meet Jesus in his life, he woke-up sudden after Jesus. Jesus said: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” (Matt.5:17-18)
When Paul said: “So the previous command is annulled because it was weak and unprofitable” (Hebrews 7:18 CSB)
Paul himself circumcised and he took his friend Timothy and circumcised him too but for others said: “Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.” (Gal.5:2 ESV)
Paul circumcised Timothy and then refused to circumcise.

  7. The one thing that you must have is a relationship with God without a relationship with God you cannot understand the word of God Jesus said when he ascended I will not leave you comfortless I will send you the comforter he will lead God and teach you you need no man to teach you the holy spirit will teach you this word is not just a book it is a Living Word and the word lives within you not Within These pages but within you

    1. Pastor Charles,
What Jesus said read properly: “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” (John 16:13-14)
Jesus forecast of a new comer and who is this Spirit of truth who teach us past, present and future? Reply of this we have to turn our face towards that religion which came after Jesus and it’s religion book. And Muhammad (pbuh) came with religion “Islam” and without any lie, error, contradiction God’s revealed book “Qur’an”. Read Qur’an and find out correct reply of your all confusion from it. Spirit of truth is “Muhammad peace be upon him (pbuh) came after Jesus and taught us past, present and future as well as he glorified Jesus Christ too. He said truth of Jesus with his status.Read Qur’an with faith and good understanding.
“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (Matt.22:35-37 KJV)
Jesus said the first and important commandment is to worship God only. “The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:” (Mark 12:29) Same verse have in Qur’an with completion: Messiah has said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.” (Qur’an 5:72) [God in English and Arabic Allah]

  8. Look, Satan is very crafty. He has opposed God and his Children since he was cast out of heaven. Now some of the bibles we read today are corrupted with denominational doctrines. God wouldn’t spare anyone you dare alter his word. Christians must therefore be vigilant when searching the gosple. Avoid polluted gospels just like what Paul warned us about.

  9. Does everyone know that to have a different version of the Bible, each one must be 10% different from each other to get a copyright. How can you have over 100 different Bibles and all are 10% different from each other say the same thing????

  10. The Church is hiding something I believe. Was there not radical change to the Bible in the early 1990’s? To adapt with digital technology. The original bible had no old or new testament and finished with Ezekiel ‘Blessed is he who shepherds the weak..’

  11. Between both of them the ten commandments did not change. So when GOD made difference to the parts of his words. He did not change them.

  12. I dare challenge his word and I am still here. Maybe it is him that does not exist?
