  1. Xerxes was the grandson of Cyrus the Great. Probably he was named after him.

    The Daric coin, coined during the reign of Darius I, is mentioned in Ezra 2:69. Darius I was the father of Xerxes. Which suggests Koresh/Cyrus of Ezra 1:1 refers to Xerxes rather then Cyrus the Great.

    The 120 governors of Darius 6:1 also can be translated as 20 tax governors (100 means tax). This is how Darius I devided his empire. Considering this the Koresh/Cyrus in the book of Daniel would refer to Xerxes as well.
